Situation: This hotel is located old quarter of Vilalba, next to Santa María church.

Services: This historical hotel is set in a 15th century mediaeval tower and comprises a total of 48 rooms. This impressive medieval Galician tower dominates the urban and rural landscape of this town in Lugo, capital of the fertile region of the 'Terra Chá', lands which grew up around this tower and in which the gentlemen of Andrade, Counts of Vilalba, lived. The hotel offers cosy, peaceful spaces with a mediaeval feel; the 6 rooms located in the tower and the Salon de los Andrade also share this style, and all have mural paintings and feature coats of arms. In the shadow of the tower stands the new building, wrought in stone and in the style of a typical Galician palace, where the remaining 42 rooms, bar, restaurant and other facilities are located. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour reception and check-out service, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom and lift access. There is a TV lounge and a café. Guests have conference facilities and WLAN Internet access at their disposal and can also take advantage of the room and laundry services. There is a car park and covered garage parking for those arriving by car (the latter for an additional fee).

Board: Specialities on offer here include lacón con grelos (cooked pork with turnip greens), empanada de raxo (pork and potato pie), beef brochettes and the famous capón vilalbés (capon Vilalba-style), star of the Christmas season.

How to arrive: Vilalba is located to the north of Lugo, 35 km along the main NVI road Madrid-A Coruña. Guests should take the Rabade turn-off along the local C641 road.
